Backstory

Born deep under water, she had no name but looked up to see the bright endless sea with admiration and love. Even at such a young age, the seaborn wanted to share the sight with everyone she could meet but all she found under the water could already see it so there was only once place left that she could; the surface.Her first entry to the surface was met with screams of horror as her form was one that none could easily withhold without going mad, a pile of writing flesh and limbs that seemed more dead than alive. Bothered by the reaction to her normal form, she took the time to observe Siren tried again by changing her form to something more palatable to the eyes, her current form that caused the weaker willed to surrender themselves to get close to her. She was proclaimed as a sight that all would give up their worldly possessions just to get even a sight of, though she ask for nothing except their ear for listening. They gave her the name Siren due to her words luring people in like a sweet song of doom, all wanted to listen to what she had to say. It all started as a small gathering on the beach where she would exit from the sea then as more gathered, a cult appeared around Siren. She moved more inland and found a place deep underground the use as the foundation for her church.Some questioned Siren of how her teachings could be used to enter their supposed Elysium and she merely smiled, excited to show those who are wiling to see the beauty of the maddening sea. The first one was forever imprinted into the books of the Dark Abyss Church as the one who took the first step into paradise. Siren who had years to grow lead her group to a large cliffside where at the bottom was cragged and jagged rocks that would be lethal to even the most resilient but she promised that those who would take the plunge would be sent to Abyssian, the church's fabled paradise found within the sea. Many were not willing to walk off the cliff but one was willing to take the chance, Shori, he was a young man who lost everything and used the church to find meaning in life thus he had nothing to lose at this point. He walked off the cliff without hesitation, minutes passed and there was a sickening squeal of flesh being torn and crack of bones but upon inspection; there was no body or even traces of Shorikai. Many felt as though he had indeed been taken and brought to another world, there was many truth's to that fact but one falsity that remains a mystery to the rest of the cult: he had been infected with the seaborn virus that Siren left within the water and converted into one of Siren's seaborn underlings that live in wait for her call to battle. More offered themselves to what they call "The Abyssal Plunge" and ended their own lives in the name of their paradise, all were made into dormant seaborns that burrow underwater.Years went on and Siren merged with society and the cult became more public, their powers rivaled a number of cities by themselves and their roots were unremovable with the original Seaborn in the midst of it all as its leader. Many have attempted to remove Siren from her seat of power but all of those attempts were met with silence and the person or group's identity nearly wiped from the face of the world. . .Her powers are left a mystery as she has never exerted herself even in times of battle, cultist fought for her with a fervor of a mad man, but many speculate that Siren has powers that normal being could not even begin to fathom.
